Frenchy July 21st, 2007, 03:48 PM OUR beautiful Nelly sooo comfy,is she still in heat??? I have no idea about heats or how long they last.. Yes she is :frown: other then the leaking blood, not a lot because she's always cleaning herself (and Bailey helps too :yuck: ) her behavior is the same. This couch used to be Daisy's favorite place. No other dog dared to sleep on it. :p And now it's Nelly's. She loves when I put a blancket on her on cold evenings. :cloud9: chico2 July 21st, 2007, 03:52 PM Aww Frenchy,Nelly is such a lucky girl to be with you, hopefully for the rest of her life:pray: ~michelle~ July 21st, 2007, 05:51 PM oh i love nelly!!! i havent been around for awhile any news on whats happening with her former owner? mummummum July 21st, 2007, 08:36 PM Look at the face on that :lovestruck: Frenchy July 21st, 2007, 09:34 PM oh i love nelly!!! i havent been around for awhile any news on whats happening with her former owner? Nothing yet and I'm in no hurry to hear about a trial date...even if I'm 99% sure she's not getting them back, there's still the 1%..... hazelrunpack July 21st, 2007, 09:37 PM :lovestruck: She really knows how to take advantage of a loveseat, doesn't she? :D I took a walk today (with a friend, no dogs) and we met up with a couple walking the other way who had a mastiff, a large border collie and a great dane. They'd just had the dane for three weeks--when they got her, she'd just weaned her litter so she was still pretty teaty today, but beautiful! Looked a lot like Nelly :lovestruck: I wanted to pet her, but the couple said they were still getting to know her and didn't know how she'd react to strangers (although I saw absolutely no aggression in her demeanor). So I contented myself by watching her while I played with the mastiff and the border collie a bit, instead. :D :cloud9: Really a lovely fur family. :thumbs up Frenchy July 21st, 2007, 09:41 PM What are the odds ? There's not a lot of brindle danes , anyway, not here in Quebec. People seem to go for the Harlequin ones. Cool mixt of pups they had , mastiff , border collie and a great dane ! hazelrunpack July 21st, 2007, 09:49 PM So that's a brindle, eh? What makes a harlequin? Patches? hazel is great dane challenged :o If it's not white and spotted, hazel hasn't got a clue! :D oh, and what's a 'merle'? Frenchy July 21st, 2007, 09:58 PM So that's a brindle, eh? Merle is grey / blue (I think) hazelrunpack July 21st, 2007, 11:06 PM Well, they're all gorgeous as far as hazel is concerned! :D But I think I like the brindles like Nelly the best :thumbs up They remind me of tigers. :D BHRR July 21st, 2007, 11:50 PM SHE is gorgeous Frenchy! :) AND I know who looks just like her! ;) http://hometown.aol.com/greatdanerescue/colors.html is a link to Great Dane Colours If you want a better picture of a Blue Brindle; look at LP's post with pictures of Mudslide and if you wish to see a Fawn Blue Merle; look at Jenni in that thread by LP. http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=42640 (Hopefully, I posted that correctly? ) My Dragon is also a Brindle; an Onyx yet I am a 'suck' for them all and I guess that is why I am owned by Danes of several colours! :D Is it August 25th yet?????? I cannot wait for you to come and visit again! The last I had heard about a court date was that it could be in October yet I have seen some cases postponed for years. The owner or the dog ? Is it a true story ? luckypenny July 22nd, 2007, 08:44 PM If anyone deserves her very own couch, it's Nelly :cloud9: . She looks almost camouflaged with that blankie on it. Rather than try to find good visiting dates to BHRR, I think I'm just going to "squat" our camper down somewhere on the property and invite myself over for coffee and doggie slobber every morning :D . Hey, maybe we can build our our dream dog village there :D ? Nelly would fit right in and so would Bailey and Sam. You think Gwen would notice? Gwennie, you're gonna wake up one morning to see a whole caravan set up in the horse pasture  Frenchy July 22nd, 2007, 08:49 PM Hey, maybe we can build our our dream dog village there :D ?
