Yes she is :frown: other then the leaking blood, not a lot because she's always cleaning herself (and Bailey helps too :yuck: ) her behavior is the same.

This couch used to be Daisy's favorite place. No other dog dared to sleep on it. :p And now it's Nelly's. She loves when I put a blancket on her on cold evenings. :cloud9:

Nothing yet and I'm in no hurry to hear about a trial date...even if I'm 99% sure she's not getting them back, there's still the 1%.....

I took a walk today (with a friend, no dogs) and we met up with a couple walking the other way who had a mastiff, a large border collie and a great dane. They'd just had the dane for three weeks--when they got her, she'd just weaned her litter so she was still pretty teaty today, but beautiful! Looked a lot like Nelly :lovestruck: I wanted to pet her, but the couple said they were still getting to know her and didn't know how she'd react to strangers (although I saw absolutely no aggression in her demeanor). So I contented myself by watching her while I played with the mastiff and the border collie a bit, instead. :D :cloud9: Really a lovely fur family. :thumbs up

What are the odds ? There's not a lot of brindle danes , anyway, not here in Quebec. People seem to go for the Harlequin ones. Cool mixt of pups they had , mastiff , border collie and a great dane !

I get mixt up with the french and english version of the colours , Harlequin might be in french for black and white. Merle is grey / blue (I think)

Well, they're all gorgeous as far as hazel is concerned! :D But I think I like the brindles like Nelly the best :thumbs up They remind me of tigers. :D

The last I had heard about a court date was that it could be in October yet I have seen some cases postponed for years.

Wow I didn't realize only a couple of colours are qualified for showing. The Danes I've seen out here were Tiger Brindle - didn't look like Mudslide, he looked like a Boxers' Tiger brindle w/predominately orange (more orange than Nelly), Harlequinn(black on white) & Fawn

They are all gorgeous any colour they come in!:lovestruck:

I like the pure blacks too they look elegant even when they are romping around w/long gangly legs:D It's so cute how playful they are considering their size, unfortunately their lifespan isn't very long compared to medium-large breeds.

Rather than try to find good visiting dates to BHRR, I think I'm just going to "squat" our camper down somewhere on the property and invite myself over for coffee and doggie slobber every morning :D . Hey, maybe we can build our our dream dog village there :D ? Nelly would fit right in and so would Bailey and Sam. You think Gwen would notice? Gwennie, you're gonna wake up one morning to see a whole caravan set up in the horse pasture :eek:

Thanks Erykah , Nelly is 100% part of the pack now. Last night , all 3 jumped on the bed to sleep while I tried to find a spot for the other half of my body :laughing:

Frenchy,the book is not about the dog per say,but he has a big part in it and he was poisoned by a jealous psycho in the end.

As for Miss Gracie; she was adopted last November so you would have to take the 'sneak' part up with her new mom! ;) She was adopted along with Dodger. I always called Miss Gracie, my 'KangaDane' FOR my goodness she could jump straight up in one spot SOOOOO high!
