Anyday I would pick Coke over water!! Tastes way much better :D
I do however try to drink @ least 1 glass of water per day. I know should be way more

I was talking to a guy who works for Kellogs in the USA, they came out with Strawberry flavour water w/ proteins, vitamins etc, in it but it's not available in Canada yet

And I don't drink coffee:D

But Coca-Cola (man's greatest invention) will soothe a baby's stomach and ease heartburn for those that suffer from it. I love Coke - the "real thing" preferably in a 6 oz. green tinged bottle with a real bottle cap. I don't drink coffee, so this is my "caffeine" and it has to be the real stuff - not diet. Oh, and yes, it does help with all of the other little tasks noted!

Funny you should bring it up . . . . . I ran a 21.5 km half-marathon this morning in Calgary, prepping with a half liter of water and half a can of Diet Coke before the start, some water at various stations along the way, then downing the rest of the can of Diet Coke after it was all over (less than two hours thank you very much!!).

And now I'm just frantically waiting for a decent hour, noonish, respecting some modicum of civilization, before I tackle a well-earned Corona. I don't know if I can hold out.

I have a single can of Diet Coke most days at the office, pffffftinng it open at about 7 a.m. and having it last well into the day. And it has to be a can, not a bottle. Different taste.

My doc says I won't kill myself with one can.

And a couple of glasses of ice water in the afternoon generally.

I'm addicted to Diet Coke, but I do tend to go for the caffeine free stuff. However, a nice cold glass of water on a hot day is the shiznit!

8 to 10 glasses of water a day can also help with acne for some people.

I don't mind cola, but we drink a lot of water around here, for us coca-cola is a treat really, and as long as it stays that way, I enjoy it, but if I drink too much in a night for whatever reason the taste starts to gross me out. I used to drink it all the time, and I just started getting the grossed out feeling in the last couple of years, I guess I'm finally sweet enough.

So right now I prefer water, but the cocacola is awesome every once in a while.

It is actually not entirely accurate that we need 8 glasses of water a day. We need the fluid but we get it in veggies and other ways, even tea or milk. (I can't drink tea -some kind of weird allergy). I used to love coca cola classic - refised the fiet because of the aspartame (don;t need any more carcinogens in my body thank you! Even the coke with splenda has some aspartame, sigh! And now there are studies indicating splenda (sucralose is not all it's cracked up to be either).

That said, I have given up coke and drink water now. Nestlé strawberry flavoured water and when I have the occasional coke, I find it so sweet and am amazed I drank so much of it! I think regular coke in moderation is prob OK but you have to keep an account of how much sugar it is. I really loved the stuff too, lol - it's just amazing now. I don't hate it exactly but I prefer water now. And I am hopefully saving on dental bills- or saving my insurance on dental bills, lol
