Help -rates digging the garden

I think these are bamboo rats- they are a large species that come out at night. For awhile now I'd find my garden dug every morning. Always a new place, what's more annoying is it would either be a flower bed or the lawn. They are ruining my lawn and upsetting the roots of my plants! What should I do?:confused:
