Just a Thought

June 28th, 2007, 10:34 PM
Last year we got Tyra and about this time of the year she got the poops. The weather at that time was hot. This week she got the poops again after the hot weather. I cooled her down with a cool bath and gave her pumpkin. Pooper is back to normal. I was wondering if warm weather could be the cause? She really hates the warm weather and likes being in front of the fans. Just a thought and no she has not eaten anything different or been exposed to anything bad. And the vet said she looked OK. just one of the mysteries that cannot be explained....

We've had dogs that had that reaction to the heat, too. Another good excuse to treat ourselves...uh...I mean the dogs, of course :o central air! :p

Stress can cause diarrhea so if she doesn't like the heat then I think that would stress her enough to cause the loose poops when the weather is hot.

Wow I'm glad it's not just me.... oh wait this is a dog right? ;)

I'm not sure about dogs, but I know my body gets pretty wonky when it is very hot or humid. :o
