Called vet i took her to last time,told me to wipe her eye out w/warm water,if that does not help they will let me p/u oitment(only 10.00)but ihave to open her eye put it along eye lid then close her eye and let it get all over her eye.This will not be easy.

It's tough, especially if the cat is trying to get away. It does get easier with practice though! I have to do it all the time at work. Most cats are surprisingly good about it.
I hope her eye gets better fast! :fingerscr

You have to be quick! I find the best way is to come up behind them so they are blocked by your feet and then lean down (line of ointment on finger), tip the head back -scratching her under the chin, murmuring endearments - while with the fingers of your other hand open the eye slightly and appy the ointment. The more you get in the eye, as opposed to around the eye, the better. If you do it quickly, the cat hardly has time to register what's happening. Then a BIG cuddle.
Unfortunately, some of these ointments sting, which sure doesn't help.
