Dog Chapel VT

I was looking through the pics on my camera, and I came across some from a trip I took to Vermont last summer. We went to "The Dog Chapel" (http://www.dogmt.com/chapel.php) in St. Johnsbury, VT, and I took a few pics.

So here's the outside. Note the sign says "Welcome, All Creeds, All Breeds, No Dogmas Allowed."

Here's the inside, right inside the entrance. The walls were covered with photos and stories of people's pets that had passed on.

Now there's a cool idea! :thumbs up I never knew there was such a chapel! There should be at least one of those every 100 miles or so.

It was really cool. Of course dogs are allowed inside, but we didn't have Sable with us because she doesn't travel well. The guy who built it has an art gallery next door where he sells his dog art and books, and we met 2 dogs in there. And we picked our bed & breakfast because of the fact they had 2 bernese mountain dogs because we couldn't stand having no dogs around for a whole weekend! :p

I just noticed the link to the gallery--and the listing of pet-friendly vacation places :thumbs up If we ever get a vehicle big enough to travel with the menagerie :rolleyes:, we may have to check out Vermont! :D

Hehe, that sounds like me and hubby. I get major doggie withdrawals when we are away and end up stopping everyone walking on the street to pet their dogs :o .
