irritation/spot my dog is has?

Hello, My dog seems to have some kind of a whitish spot with about a 1.5 inch diameter close to the groin by the right leg that is irritating him. he spends a lot of time licking it after he's walked around. he seams to be doing just fine otherwise and it seams to have only started bothering him today at some time.

any ideas as to what this could be?

It's very hard to say... could be a hot spot. If it doesn't get better you will have to go to a vet.

If it's irritating him and he's licking it then it will only get worse. I would get your vet to look at it. Good luck and keep us posted. :fingerscr

I agree. Hot spots can be nasty. And if it's not a hot spot, I'd still want to know what it was. I think a vet visit is in order. I hope it's better soon :fingerscr
