Its nice to be a member. I'm now having one shih szu (not sure if the spelling is correct), white and 1year 2mths old. A new naughty but playful puppy.

I noticed that you have also a shih tzu. Are they very aggressive. This is my first time of taking a shih tzu. He's very aggressive, naughty and bad temper. I have tried to punish him, but he is very stubborn. Likewise I change my method and talk to me, seems better, with respond.

Is shih tzu character like that? Kindly let me have your comments.

I've never had a shih tzu, but I have heard from people who do own them that they can be a bit stubborn. But then again, like people, you're always going to find some headstrong ones in the bunch. :D Patience and consistency in correction will help. If you start a new thread in the training forum, I'll bet you'll get lots of good advice! :thumbs up

And I hope you figure out how to resize soon so we can see your little fur baby! :thumbs up

Welcome to the board!!! You mention your shih zu is a little stubborn,,I don't think that is common to the breed, but not sure. We have two shih zu's, one will be two in October and the other will be two in January. Their personalities are completely different, Princess[white one] is very stubborn and aggressive, Kaya[black one]is the most obedient dog and will go to anyone, very friendly. Kaya never barks, where as princess barks alot. Anyway good luck with training.
