I'm just introducing myself as I'm new to this site.
I have grown up with pets and have had pets all my life. I am now soon to be 53, my husband 55 and over the last few years have had to say goodbye to our two german shepherds and a mintoy poodle along with two cats. My one shepherd was 14 & had lived a very good life and we miss him dearly. Our other shepherd was only 9 & passed very suddenly with a heart attack. She was much too young. Our little guy - the poodle was 14. Lesson to be learned- don't have multiple pets close to the same age. Our cats were 20 & 13. We now have two calico sister cats - Cally & Zoe and we can't imagine life without them. They fill our days with purrs & sillyness . We are missing having a dog in our life very much and we are now visiting shelters to find a new member for our family.
