Jack Russell Dogs

I have found a stray dog and have taken her into my home. She is very well behaved, very gentle and trained. The only problem I am having is that she does not like my cat. Meaning she is always barking and running after him when she see's him. So my question is will she get use to the cat or does she pose a threat to my cat? I have read articles saying that she might kill my cat if left alone. I am hoping someone can help me with this. She is such a loveable dog I would hate to see her go, but is my cat in danger?

I would crate the dog or put him in another room when left alone. As long as your cat runs away from the dog , the dog will chase the cat. Jack Russels are very hyper , so this might take a while. But it can be done. Make sure the cat has a place it canno't be bother by the dog . Usually you would have to separate the dog and the cat, little by little you let them meet eachother.

I agree with Frenchy.

Changing the subject though, have you looked for her owners before you get too attached? :)
