I have a 15 month old Boston. She has recently started to develop "freckles" on her chest and the sides of her tummy. They started out very faint and are now dark brown. Is this normal? Any time I see pictures of other bostons, they do not have these.

Yes, this is normal, especially in young Bostons. They can have ticking or "freckles" that are more prevalent in the summer and that can be faded or even invisible in the winter. It's kind of like freckles in humans. The sun makes them pop! :)

Ah, here you go, I found you a picture. :) This is the same Boston in the summer and then in the winter:
My Pointer gets this a little as well. I think dogs with thin or short hair just show it more than other dogs.
