Pics From Today

May 22nd, 2007, 06:31 PM
We have been trying and trying to do a vault, but she just couldn't get it. Well, suddenly on Saturday she started doing it. I tried to get some pics, but it's really hard without a photographer and using the timer. It's not the prettiest vault in the world, but it's a start.

I think my face prooves just how painful it is, my back is all scratched up.

(Yes, Erikah, I AM wearing Crocs.... :p ) ( (

"Willow! What are you barking at?" (

"Don't worry Mommy, I'll protect you from the monster!" (

ACK! A monster!!! (

May 22nd, 2007, 06:33 PM
lol monster.. I think you need a leather jacket for that.... Or suede- it's more grippy. :D Good job though! :) :highfive:

May 22nd, 2007, 06:37 PM
Willow does a flip: (

"I love playing frisbee, I'm sooo happy." ( (

May 22nd, 2007, 06:38 PM
Yeah I'd be putting some booties or something on her feet for that, ouch!
I totally understand Willow.....REMAX is a scary monster. :p

May 22nd, 2007, 06:42 PM
Eeep! It's probably better in the long run for your back if you pay a professional to give you a massage, Byrd.

She really seems to love the athletics. Good for her (and you're a good dog mommy, giving her the shirt and skin off your back. :D )!:thumbs up

"My mommy says I'm a pretty girl, so I need to live up to that." ( (

May 22nd, 2007, 06:45 PM
Love her smile! :D

May 22nd, 2007, 06:50 PM
 You gals are funny. Actually, my trainer has an old diving vest she wears for vaulting, I think if I'm going to do it 'professionally' I will get a leather vest, or at least a thick vest.

I love her smile too. :lovestruck:

First encounter with a hot air balloon, the sound is what set her off, it was too perfect cuz normally I don't have the camera with me.

Hey, I like your shoes.... I have the same ones!!

Those pics remind me of my basic training, and learning different shooting positions....except I had a machine gun on my back. I think I'd prefer a doggy....

I would love to teach Mocha to do stuff like that....I think he's content catching some rays by the patio though....

May 22nd, 2007, 08:10 PM
Yeah, I think I prefer the doggy too.

 Did you notice the "I Dont care How Comfortable Crocs Are, You Look Like A Dumbass" group at Facebook. That's why I put that message to Erykah in there.

Wonderful looking dog. Are you training for something in particular or just tricks?

May 22nd, 2007, 10:13 PM
That's for freestyle frisbee. Vaulting is a big part and it took a long time for her to get the idea because it took a long time for her to get the idea not to jump on mommy, then I go and reverse that. Mean mom.

Ah, yes, well, I did tell ya I was Wiccan didn't I? :p

May 23rd, 2007, 07:44 PM
Oh, those are really COOL! Can't believe you captured those by using the timer! Nice! :) And LOL, love the Remax balloon.

May 23rd, 2007, 07:54 PM
Yup, I'd wait until the countdown went down to one second and the light would blink and then I'd call her "hup!" Like I said, it's hard using the timer, maybe I'll get some better ones if I can get a photographer.

The balloon was too funny, she was barking her head off at it and trying to stand on her hind legs to reach for it. It was too much!!!

Great shots Byrd ~ Willow is looking exceptionally happy and athletic these days ! I think she needs a good roll in a stinky muddy crik !!

May 24th, 2007, 02:50 PM
Great action shots!

I love that Willow is protecting you from a monster. Mine protected me the other day from the evil fire hydrant that jumped out from the darkness on our night walk!

I love dog fun - looks like she's a natural athlete. :)

May 24th, 2007, 05:04 PM
She definitely is an athletic girl and sure loves her sports.

May 24th, 2007, 05:56 PM

May 24th, 2007, 06:18 PM
Aww, Willow's such a good girl. So pretty and talented and popular, if she were a teenage girl and we were in high school I would hate her:laughing:

May 25th, 2007, 08:22 AM
lovely photos of willow!!! i had no idea she was so multi-talented!!!

May 25th, 2007, 06:39 PM
Yup, miss multitalented is her name! :p

Yeah, if she were human and we were in highschool she'd be the cheerleader! Um... no strike that, she'd be in soccer, baseball, basketball, lacross, etc... she's too butch for cheerleader.

May 25th, 2007, 08:18 PM
I just saw the pics , wow , what an athlete ! :thumbs up she looks good :lovestruck:

May 25th, 2007, 08:45 PM
Thanks, and our trainer was working with her and giving me some tips on how to improve upon it as well. We are taking a freestyle disc seminar at the end of July and I wanted her to be vaulting by then so that we weren't too far behind the others in the class. I don't even know how she learned it, I was trying and trying and all I'd get were front paws on my back, then suddenly out of the blue she figured out what I wanted. She's so smart, and we've been working really hard with her flyball problems too and she is doing well and will be hopefully be competing by autumn, we also get back to agility in July and are currently taking SuperDog Games and during the last class one of the producers of The SuperDogs comes out and it's basically an open audition.... not sure if I want it or not though, it would be cool if she got famous, but it's a lot of work.

May 27th, 2007, 10:05 PM
Thanks, I was trying to get a nice portrait to maybe blow up. Yes, we were having tonnes of fun, I find going out and having fun actually seems to please her more than going for a walk.
