From this thread http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=40431
paying special attention to this statement
Corn Meal (carbohydrate)
An excellent source of quick energy, these corn kernels are finely ground to break up the outside covering of each kernel, and then cooked at high temperatures to increase digestibility. Corn generally results in a lower glycemic and insulin response than rice. This can be especially beneficial for senior and overweight pets. Of the many dogs that regularly eat a food containing corn, only a few will develop an allergy to corn.

How many of us here alone, fed our dogs something with corn, and had either recurring yeast infections or other reactions as such. Then when we stopped feeding foods containing corn, they stopped???
If "only a few will develop an allergy" I wonder how come so many of us have these "few"

When Bree was small about 2 months old (she is now 9 months old) she devloped running stool diarhia the works, I was at wits end. I went to a person I knew and she told me "no way it could not be from the food I was giving her" she is to young to have a food intolerance" ok so what am I supose to do now, I asked. not sure she said.

So I went to another place told my story and they told me it might be the corn in her food, at this point I was willing to try anything considering it was not medical, what do I have to lose.
I was supose to switch gradually but did not. we went feet frist into the new food without corn and with in a week there was a huge difference. To this day she does not eat anything with corn in it, was it a coinsidentce maybe but I am not going back. She is doing great on the food she is on. Is it really a food intolerence I am not sure but what ever we did it worked.

Noid has reactions to corn and wheat he used to have severe acne and since taking him off all corn and wheat it has cleared right up!
It's not 100% but then some of it is genetic as well so there is no getting around it other than to keep him as clean and moisturized and cared for as possible!
But the corn dropped from the diet made a drastic improvement within just a couple of months it was amazing!

I put yes, but wheat is in there too. If she gets one or the other (especially wheat) then she reacts.

But it just makes sense. Carbs feed yeast.
