Thought Fauna was a term for trees, plants, grasses, mosses, etc.:o  :o . Looking at some of these great pics.... I began to realize I didnt "quite" have this right......lol... From Wikipedia: Fauna is a collective term for animal life of any particular region or time. The corresponding term for plants is flora Zoologists and paleontologists usually use fauna to refer to a typical collection of animals found in a specific time or place, e.g. the "Sonoran Desert fauna" or the "Burgess shale fauna". Paleontologists sometimes refer to a sequence of 80 or so faunal stages, which are a series of rocks all containing similar fossils. So, I feel pretty foolish...but learned something.:) This is still a good theme, and the pics are wonderful! Do you feel it should be "widened' in scope? Flora, Fauna and Nature? Shamrock May 8th, 2007, 03:42 PM I really want to compliment everyone on their photos too.:cloud9: :lovestruck: Beautifully done.. from the lovely scenic shots to the sweet and funny captures, your cats and dogs all look awesome!:thumbs up breeze May 8th, 2007, 03:53 PM so it's flowers , plants trees and nature and animal life got it now thanks for clearing in up now I don't feel so dumb  chico2 May 8th, 2007, 04:22 PM A couple more, ocky checking out something and whatever it was,it was yummy:cat: chico2 May 8th, 2007, 04:24 PM Vinnie sneaking up on Chico, see his ears in the plants...and later a little more visible, but Chico would have none of it:laughing: chico2 May 8th, 2007, 04:27 PM A couple cute ones....not much of Rocky, but he is in there somewhere:laughing: Shamrock May 8th, 2007, 04:35 PM Absolutely beautiful chico!:cloud9: :lovestruck: :highfive: ..your little tigers.. out exploring.:) Prin May 8th, 2007, 07:23 PM Great pics! :) Flora, fauna, the only thing missing is water and sky.:D Where are you usual pics of your kitties, Shamrock?
