I am fairly new to the whole gardening thing so I found this interesting, now my gardening takes place on an island in Lake of the Woods. Guess I will be more careful about freeing the worms left over by the fishermen, as I would hate to know that I helped to kill off some of the vegetation in the woods surrounding us.
I had no idea there were so many different species of worms and that we only have about two that are native. Geepers...is just about everything an invading species now. Just when we think something is good for us(no I don't mean eating them) etc... we find out it's bad.
