Sick Kitty

April 19th, 2004, 10:05 AM
My cat (who has just turned 14) has been getting sick (throwing-up)after eating his food for the last few days. Anyone have any ideas about why this could be happening?? He's got sick before, but I never seen him do this. I'm afraid to bring him to the vet because I don't want to hear "bad news". He seems pretty normal with the rest of his routines.

In a 14 year old cat, many things can cause vomiting.

No one wants to hear bad news, but you must take this cat to the vet. It may something easy to fix, and by not taking him, you could be allowing his illness to get worse when it need not.

With proper care, it's possible for him to live another 5 years or more!

I guess I knew that was the answer...not what I wanted to hear, but I'll get him to the vet ASAP. I've had him since he was 4 weeks old & fit in the palm of my hand. His like my child & acts more like a dog than a cat. I hate the thought of losing him. Hopefully, it's nothing serious. Thanks!
