We Had a Close Call

Last week we had a strong wind. Our neighbor's street tree blew over against our house. It was the same size as our tree. We were lucky - not even a dent on the rain gutter!

Wow, it always amazes me that wind can uproot a tree. Good thing it missed your house.

Thanks! Actually, they were my mom's, whom I lost a year and a half ago. That was her bedroom. I joked that she must have been looking out for us, or maybe looking out for her dolls! I joined the doll club so that they can still have their monthly meetings in my home. An electric company employee was walking from house to house notifying residents that they were going to be doing some digging in the morning. When the tree fell, he was standing on our front porch talking to my husband. It didn't make a sound but it really made him jump. It was about 6' away from him.

Yesterday we had one heck of a rain/wind storm,my huge Blue Spruce was bending,objects were flying around,scary stuff,luckily it does not happen here too often..
