 I knew this recall was massive, but this is just plain unbelievable! Some of you may have known the count so far, but I just downloaded the list from the FDA and am totally shocked!
If you haven't done it - download the list http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/petfoodrecall/ (scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the hyperlink to download the spreadsheet)

Wow, that is quite a list but it actually has a ton of products listed many times with just different lot #'s so is not as bad as it looks.

We know that there are products on the US FDA's list which are available in BOTH the US and Canada.........
But...there are also foods ONLY available in Canada...
Is there any comprehensive CANADIAN-ONLY LIST?
(I know I'm becoming overwhelmed...'can't see the trees for the forest'!)

Not sure about a canadian list...:o
I find it annoying how companies break it up, like Science diet and Nutro, while others, like Natural Balance, just have their whole brand on there. IMO, it should be the whole brand. You don't inspect, you don't get to specify on the main list which of your foods are tainted and which ones aren't.

Well, if the Canadian food inspection agency is any indication, all they have on their list is one set of treats tainted with salmonella.

One of the CNN broadcasters today said the question now should be what food is safe. It has become that bad!!
