Strahl chomps down on pet food problem, launches regulatory review

One thing for sure, "Canada's new government" is aware of the issue.

Some realities however:
- any pre-election minority government is always scanning for issues to support
- this story came out of Ontario, where the current government hopes to increase its representation
- tossing it to the bureaucrats to sort out is an easy way to look like they've actually done something (Doesn't a "regulatory review" sound like definitive, supportive action?)
- a bureaucratic review can take forever......until long after the next election
- while the real job of a bureaucrat is to make their masters (ministers) look good, if the bureaucrat doesn't like something....it ain't ever going to happen!

Hey - I'm not pooh-poohing it...........it's just a little deja-vu so far.

Let's stay vigilant!
