I have a 7 year old black/white cat. His name is Joey. He is very gentle, laid-back guy you could ever meet. My boy doesn't hissed, scratched, growl or bitten anyone. Very affectionate guy, he talks when he wants something. Has tuffs sticking out of his paws, he has a mane around his neck and has longer fur on his tummy. Loves being around people, very social. I was told before that Joey has some Maine Coon in him. They said, he has a big muzzle just like the breed. Maybe he is part Ragdoll because he flops down instead of laying right down. Please let me know! I would like a second opinion. I know he isn't a regular black and white cat.

Of course he's not just an ordinary black and white cat, he's your black and white cat and that already makes him way special right. :D
I have no idea what to look for to be able to tell you if there's any maine coon in him, but he's a very pretty cat.

It's probably impossible to know for sure, unless you test his DNA! I've got a tuxedo with longer hair between his 'toes' and the same kind of mane around his neck, but to me he is just my Button (as in 'as cute as').

Hi, Joey sure looks much like my daughter's Maine Coon cat and his temperament is exactly the same. Her cat, Rebel's, fur is so long, it's difficult to manage due to matting so she has him trimmed to look like a lion for the spring/summer months. You've got a beautiful kitty and if he's not all Maine Coon he's got a lot in him. Enjoy! Ailie
