Hello, questions on neutering surgery

My baby is going in to get nutered tomorrow any tips on taking care of him afterwards:cloud9:

Dont let him play too rough, dont want to pull out the stitches. And dont bathe him for I think its a week or so after the surgery because you want to keep the area dry and clean so it can heal.

Your vet will probably tell you all that before you take him home though. :)

Your boy might not even need stitches. It's common for the incisions to be left open to drain. Watch for signs of infection, like heat, swelling, pus, or excessive bleeding. He probably won't bleed at all, but a little bit shouldn't worry you.

I agree that you shouldn't let him go crazy, but exercise is good. It promotes circulation and allows the incisions to drain. So encourage him to go out for short walks on a leash to keep him active.
