Oh my gosh, those are hilarious! I can't stop laughing. Love the mean teethies. :D Such aweseome pics! What camera do you use, if I may ask? I'm looking at buying a new camera, but still want to probably stick with a point and shoot instead of an SLR or D-80 as I don't want to have to lug lenses around. I was also hoping to spend a little less than that, maybe around $400-600. Looking at maybe the Canon PowerShot Pro Series S3 IS 6MP with 12x Image Stabilized Zoom or the Panasonic DMC-FZ50S 10.1MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom. I like Canon, but the panasonic has 10 mp instead of just 6mp. But no clue if that is a good brand or not! But anyway, since I'm shopping, was just curious what you use. :)

Actually, these were shot with a digital SLR..:o I have the Canon Rebel XT. :o You just can't get faster shots with any point and shoot camera.:o I love it. :) It's only 8 megapixels though. But I don't mind. I'm not blowing anything up these days. If you buy it without the lens, it's about $100 cheaper, and you can put that $100 toward a better lens (the standard one is really dark and cruddy, IMO).

TeriM's getting the S3 in a few weeks, so she'd be able to give you her opinion on it.:)

Great pics Prin. Really great action shots.

Cassie goes after Hunter's paws too, lol, its really the easiest for her to grab:rolleyes:

Boo looks really vicious:eek:

Thanks.:)

HO, it works for Cassie, but Boo has to bend down to get Jemma's... You'd think he'd find a better technique than a short dog's technique.:D

:sorry: :offtopic:

Thanks Prin! My sister has that same camera! It's NICE! But I didn't want to lug extra lenses around. She has at least three or four lenses for the thing...! Do you just use one all the time? If that's the case, it would basically have the same effect as it seems to be about the same size/weight. Oh, good to know about TeriM! I'll have to ask her in a little bit. :) I"m going to Paris next month, so looking for a better camera. :)

Love those pics. Do they just ham it up for the camera or do they really always play like that? My favs are the one with Jemma and "the upper hand" and totally love the first vicious Boo in the last two shots :cloud9: .

Prin

Thanks. :o

Yeah, they generally play like that- when they play... It's getting less frequent because they're both such selfish players.:D They both want to be chased and in the end they just quit because neither chases.:D Today they were really 'on'. :)

Smiley, if you get one good lens, then you don't need a bunch. Mine's a sigma 17-70, f2.8-4.5... It's got enough zoom for my needs (it's a little amplified by the camera), and it doesn't need as much light as the original one that came with the body... Obviously better lenses cost more, and mine's a little heavy too because it's got a 70mm face instead of the usual 50mm... But I like the big'uns.:D  Of course, a point and shoot, like the S3, would be practical, but the rebel just is so versatile. :)

Smiley, the panasonic wasn't one of the choices available to me. This is what CNet said in their review of the panasonic.

Though it's much bigger and more expensive, Panasonic's Lumix DMC-FZ50 offers serious competition to our current superzoom favorite, the Canon Power Shot S3 IS. This Lumix won't take away the S3 IS's crown, but it's worth a look if you can get over its large size and somewhat bloated price tag.

I love them to together.in the first pic Boo looks so cool the way you captured him running.

Prin you have such great pics. I sure hope I get a digital camera this year.:fingerscr My two love to play like that too, hopefully the yard will be fenced and landscaped in the next month and they can play outside again. Right now it's just mud so forget it.

Teri and Prin, thank you so much for your advice!!! That's awesome! Since I'm leaving in three weeks, I went ahead and ordered the panasonic just now. Hopefully it will be a good camera! I decided to stick with point and shoot still, even though I know I'm giving up a lot of versatility. But I hope this one will be a good compromise. :fingerscr

Those are awesome shots, Prin. :highfive: I love action and teethy pics and your doggies are two of the best. :cloud9:

BTW, Logan goes after the legs too.....maybe it's a husky trait. When he goes after long legged Chase it looks like he's taking down a deer.

Prin
March 22nd, 2007, 10:57 PM
Rainbow, that description is almost a pic.:D

Yeah, I don't know too many dogs who go after the feet... Jemma doesn't even do it too often anymore because Boo's wise to her techniques.:D

rainbow
March 23rd, 2007, 12:38 AM
I think it might be a husky trait because my last two did it too. Logan does it more though and also whips his butt around to slam into Chase.

Prin

Oh, I love the husky body check.:D I like it when there's two and they jump up and hit each other side to side.:D :cloud9:

rainbow
March 23rd, 2007, 12:55 AM
Yeah, my last two huskies did it real good and it looked so cool. It's not as good with a husky and a lab but Chase is learning how to watch out for Logan's moves. Hope he doesn't have to re-learn all over again since I've had to keep them apart.

LOL....yeah, we don't have a mailman that comes to the door but Chase definitely barks at anyone else. :D
