too young for litter

my kittens are two weeks old and i dont know when i should introduce them to the litter tray,right now mum is licking them to make them pee,but theyre on my bed and i'd rather not come home to any accidents! are they too young for the tray ?

They're mother will introduce it when the time comes.:)

Well what I have read is that you start to introduce them when they start to eat on their own.Also,they say to start them off with a bit of newspaper.Apparently at a very young age if they eat the litter,they can get sick.

You have to be careful of what litter you start them off with.

Also,make a bed for Mum cat and the babies.This way they are not on your bed.

You can do a search on the net to help you out better.

i put a fleecy blanket in a big box on the floor but shes having none of it!! she keeps picking them up and putting them back on the bed..theyre now at the stage where theyre peeking over the edge of the bed and im worried theyll fall off.
i guess theyll move when theyre good and ready,and ill have to make do with the two square inches of available bed space in the meantime:D

They are WAY too young for the litterbox. Mom will teach them how to use it when they start eating solid food and she will no longer clean up after them.

You won't have any "accidents" on the bed now, because the mother cat cleans them thoroughly.

Mama cleans them up at this age, really ahhh I never knew that..
