So she's not fully grown , how old is she again ?

7 months old they say she starts her growth spert at 8 months and it last until she is about a year and her hair grows until she is 3. her face starts filling out around 2

I get them while they're prefectly relaxed in an Orvis nest. To start, I use the back of the brush (no teeth) to get them used to having the tail messed with. Then I progress to soft brushing...then move on to more thorough brushing as time passes and they get used to each stage. Stop when you can tell they're about to antsy and give them a cookie with lots of praise...

Takes a while, but they all got used to it :thumbs up I tug on them with the brush regularly now...no complaints cuz they're too busy waiting for their reward! :D

Oh--and I forgot the most important part! :o

Cut the hair on the tail short to minimize tugging. By the time it grows out long enough to start tangling again, bree should be used to getting it brushed :thumbs up

I will try it I'm not giving up, some of my friends just don't brush the tail anymore cause of it, but I love her tail the way it looks when clean and brushed I guess she doesn't care :laughing: I will give it a try

Setter tails are gloriously flowing and elegant when they're clean and brushed, too. I just had to convince the Pack that the 'look' was worth it! :D

I even brought her to the vet to make sure nothing was wrong or if her being spayed had anything to do with it. nothing is wrong with her they told me to be persitant or just don't brush the tail can you beleive that :mad:
