I just got this from my mother in law and thought I would share it...
I really feel for the kitties....the humiliation
The book these came from said some of the paint jobs cost $15,000 and had to be repeated every 3 months as the cat's hair grows out. Must be nice to have $60,000 a year just to keep your cat painted!

 What's wrong with a cat's natural markings?!?
This is the same logic that made the National Gallery pay 2 million for a "painting" of 3 stripes, right? More money than sense (or good taste!).

they were thinking they were good at Photoshop. I've gotten this in email recently, I honestly think it's just some photoshop work.

If it's photoshop, wow! Someone is really good. I wondered at first, but you can see the hair texture, so...:o Maybe I've been fooled. :o

I got that e-mail too. I really, really hope it is photoshop and not "real life".
Although if someone had enough time and money on their hands to do that to their cat I would tell them to get a real life!!

I've seen this email before as well. And I also recall the vociferous response on this board to (99% against) the young woman who was looking for a safe hair dye for her dog.
As far as I am concerned these are not people who love animals, they are "Paris Hilton's" who want accessories to their ego's.

Definitely photoshopped. I don't think you could find that many people out there painting their cats that elaborately.

this is interesting....people have way too much time on their hands

It looks cool. I am assuming this is not for real though. If it was, I'd be offended for the cats. Can any of you really imagine a cat sitting still for this? Seriously, the cat would have to be put under general anesthesia for this to work. And for how long? It can't be for real...

I guess this is :offtopic: but i've always wondered, is this for real? See attached link - it is about cats painting. I have a book on this ("Why Cats Paint) and it is very believable.
