Just got an update from Comet's new owner. She is having a bit of trouble with him. He is probably feeling pretty good for the first time in years, and is getting restless in his cage.
Anyway, she saved the best for last and concluded her email with this:
"...he started to PURR and PURR and PURR, he has a very deep loud purr, he was loving me rubbing him under the chin and behind his ears, he was pushing his head at my hand. The Purring sound was one of the best sounds that I have heard. I realize we have a long way to go and there will be bad as well as good days with him, but I think it is marvelous that he has remembered how to Purr after all he has been through."
