If the owner cannot be located, how long can you keep this dog?

I can put it on my Petfinder site, and also give you the names of a couple of rescues to contact, who could help you get it a new home.

she's an amazing dog, if i can't find the owners she would make a great companion for my huskie. I'm not a big fan of dog pounds and how they generally work. I'd rather hang on to her myself until I find the owner... thank you for everyone's help
