lol So techno got a camera, but what did everybody else get? :D

I got one of those hand mixer things with a whisk adaptor, a blender adaptor and a little chopper adaptor.:) And I got some... um.. dvds of Creature Comforts (4 dvds total). And an iron (I only had a snowboard one before...:o). And a lot of chocolatey things- I even got chocolate bath salts.

nothing from my man though... :o But that's ok, because he does enough, I think.:)

but wow! those are nice gifts, practical and fun (but the chocolate bath salts i don't understand  ), you can always ask your man for a foot rub! every woman wants a foot rub for christmas :D

you know... as much as xmas presents are fun, i prefer the all-year-round little gifts, the surprises and sweet little things that make a dull moment shine. the things that don't cost anything, or hardly. am i a party-pooper? :o

does it have a photo of the mattinator on it? :D

I wish ! It's called "The Incredible Bag" Instructions ; made by enclosing a supercooled hydrated salt solution together with a stainles steel trigger in a sealed flexible plastic bag.Flexing the trigger causes a single molecule of liquid to crystalize. This starts a chian reaction, causing the entire solution to transform from a liquid into a solid. This causes the bag to heat to 50*C-55*C . Once activated, a well insulated incredible bag will stay hot for up to 2 hours.Toreturn the crystals to liquid form, follow the instruction inside.....I'm just wondering where the heck am I suppose to put it ?

Let's see, to continue in the practicality format, I got an apple corer/peeler/slicer thingy. It's really neat and will get the kids to eat more apples. And maybe I'll make more apple pies. I also got some money to buy some much needed work clothes. I also collect nativity snowglobes and my mom gets me a musical one every year. She also got me a mother daughter daily desk calendar. And my daughter made me a spice box. Kinda cool actually. Now it's time for the big let down and for the kids to trash the house.

My favorite gift a queen size flannel sheet set from the man's mom but when he seen it he said without hesitation "oh no, I'm not sleeping on that thing" (too hot). I'm thinking though 2 years ago she gave me these supersize one piece 100,000 buttons flannel pj's < -- which I now have a match with my sheets but not very pratical in more ways then one :)

Is it just me, I'm beginning to see a pattern LOL

Were are on our 14th year together

I got the plague.

seriously, the WORST stomach flu I've ever had in my entire life. started prompty at 11pm on xmas eve... and i'm still sick. grrrrrrrrrrrrr. last year we got fleas in the house on xmas, this year I caught my death... gee, can't wait to see what next year brings.

other than that - some seriously great stuff. Nano, a Gauguin print, snow shoes, columbia vest, a new dvd player, kitchen gadgets (smoothie machine, new measuring cups/spoons, silicone pot holders, pyrex, new whisk, meat thermometer), perfume, jewelry, hat/glove/scarf sets, a sweater, lots of good smellies (lotions, candles, aromatherapy), coffee, and lots of lindt truffles (which I can't eat because I'm so sick! grrrr)

one of my fav's was a book my man got me, all dog-friendly places in new england. so now when we take long weekends, we can plan ahead, and always take Tucker w/ us! we know where to go, where to stay, where to eat, and even has emergency vets listed for each state. it's truley a great resource to have.

Jessi -- I'm so sorry you are sick. It sounds like you got some good stuff though!

Golden -- Gotta love the practical gifts, right? lol Sounds like mil doesn't want you having any fun. hehe We got flannel sheets one year though and they are WONDERFUL! Not nearly as hot as I thought they were. Although our bedroom is downstairs in the finished basement and it gets a little chilly down there.

I got some cash for Christmas and a cool shirt that says "Dancing with Woofs" on it below 6 cartoon dogs (which I thought was really appropriate!) :D

Now, before you go thinking that my relatives must be really uncreative to just give me cash...well...I got other stuff that's going back because it either has to be washed in cold (I only "do" warm...no cold), dusted (I don't "do" dusting), or stored away most of the year (I don't have any place to store stuff). That makes me kinda hard to buy for, so usually I just end up with cash. :o Oh, well...helps out on those $900 vet bills!

jesse, sorry to hear about the plague... I can relate--I got an intestinal bug a couple years ago that lasted from just before Thanksgiving til just after the new year. Bummer man...chicken soup for all my holiday dinners!

mind you we're a big family and i have to share most of this stuff with hubby, LOL! in a few days we're off to my dad's and there will be another present or two, even if we absolutely do not want anything but happy memories and no hangovers, eh? :o

This is so fun to read what everyone else got. My favorite gift I think is my new slippers from Restoration Hardware. I've had them on almost every minute. Stationery, perfume, a scone mix, Starbucks gift cards, 2 new sweaters, new jammies, a new headband, socks, and a beautiful new serving bowl which I promised my daughter I'd use for yesterday's dinner and just remembered that I didn't.

I got diamond earings  . For our 14 years together it has been the running gag with hubby and me ....

Hubby - What do you want for your B-Day (Christmas etc)?
Me - Diamonds, jewels, new car, other things we can't afford
Hubby - No really, what do you want
Me - OK then, just the diamonds will do

Hubby is a terrible shopper (I picked out my engagement ring!) and it never entered my mind to ever expect to see them and then I opened up the gift (thought it was gift certicate for spa like normal :o ) and woo-hoo!!!

Nice stuff everyone. For Christmas and my birthday I got an HP photosmart digital, AND and an HP printer, and some Burt's Bees products.

I got a nifty little angel windchime from my friend, she also gave me a tiny teddy bear nik nak.

My kids gave me a huge mess to clean up after everyone was done, as well as a bunch of fun things I had to struggle getting out of the packages.

And I got myself a winning Bingo ticket.

My boyfriend bought me a small 2ft x 2ft cupboard for my doggies' sweaters! I thought that was such a thoughtful and sweet gift.

I also got a Canon digital camera, KitchenAid mixer (I'm so excited!), a bunch of sewing and quilting gadgets, DVDs, a dust buster to clean under the bird cage (very much needed since I hate dragging out the huge vacuum cleaner everytime), a quesadilla maker, and some Christmas decorations. And another very thoughtful gift from my boyfriend: a key finder. I'm constantly asking him: "Have you seen my keys?"

My boyfriend decided to rebel against his usual tradition of giving me jewlery for every holiday and said he spent an entire morning coming up with ideas. I thought that was cute.

A tonne of stuff from my parents' trip to Turkey, Burberry Scarf, earmuffs and gloves, a pair of heels, birkenstocks, burton jacket and snowpants, huge lululemon bag, tonnes of books, dale sweater, pjs, kate spade wallet, henkel knives, a car vaccum (for all the dog hair) lacoste sweater, cash, lulu guinness purse, burr grinder, burton "oven" mitts, earings: silver with amethyst and white gold with saphyre, chew toys for layla, new leash and collar, day at the doggy spa... pretty good haul.

December 28th, 2006, 10:49 PM
The coolest thing I got was a hand-held GPS that goes into a bracket for on my mountain bike. I guess Mrs. Schwinn is tired of the "But, I was lost in the forest!" excuse. I tried it out on the way to Windsor. I think she may be sick of it. "Look, it shows where we are!" "You know where we are!" "I know, but I can see it on the screen!" "Of course you know where we are, we're driving down the 401!!" "I know! It tells me right here on the screen!!" That was a long trip for her...

Also got a text book for my pilot's license, a manual for my digital SLR, a cordless screwdriver, clothes, and junk food. Oh, and a Sponge Bob monopoly game. For, uh, Gracie...yea, that's it...
