Dear members,

We are VERY curious to know the ages of the members on our board. We'd greatly appreciate if you could check off your age in this anonymous poll. Feel free to add anything you'd like by replying as well.

Thanks so much!

mentally I'm about 30, when I'm not being a silly 11-year-old; chronologically, I'm 51...or so they tell me... madame hazel, of course, is much older (80-ish?) and hazel is about 35. We used to also have a spry 45-year-old living in here, but she ran off to join a commune...

* we used to have a multiple personality problem, but we're all better now...still multiple, but no more problems*:D

In the 3.91% group - sheesh! Well, is it better to be in the younger part of an older bracket or to be in the older part of a younger bracket? I'm 59. Maybe physically, I wouldn't mind being 36 again, but aside from that, I'm happy with where I'm at on the scale. Maturity-wise, I'm probably better than I've ever been as far as accepting myself and enjoying being "me". Emotionally, I'm still a basket case from losing my mom. Professionally, well, I'm finally able to be "boss" - of my unit, anyway. Financially, I've never been more stable. Mentally, I think my sense of humor is naughtier and I have much more fun. Why can't we start out this way instead of acquiring it later?

I'm also more "mature for my age" sometimes, and old enough to know better. Some people much older seem to be in much better health and spirits than me so I think age is just a number. I thought market research wasn't allowed on this forum. That is what this is for right? :D

I was happy when my grays started coming in all curly! "Finally," I thought, "some body to this mousy straight flyaway stuff!" The only problem is, the mousy stuff is usually about 20 inches long and the curly stuff falls out when it's about 8 inches long. Now I look really funky! :D

And as I was going through this thread again I had a funky thought--if we wait a few years, it will be totally out of date, since everyone will have aged out of their declare bracket! We'll need a new poll every decade, marko. :p (to make us feel really old )

I'm 21, but sometimes I feel like I'm much older just because of the way people around my age act towards me, 'Your 21, can't drive, live at home, and aren't going to school?? You need to move out!' Umm.. maybe some people move out when they turn 18, but if you have a good relationship with your family and can stay there for free while you work and try to figure out your life, wheres the harm in that?? Yes, they make me feel like its a crime! Once in a while I'll run into somebody who says 'you're still young, theres time to figure it out. don't rush things.' and I'm so glad when people tell me that, so I know the way I feel isn't out of the norm.

I'm still surprised by how many people think at 21 I should be living on my own with a career. Things don't work out that easily for everyone, especially when I have no idea what I want to do!

The only definite thing in life is that I love my pets and can't live without them :D Now if I can convince my family that another dog would do us some good...

hhmmm If I had of answered when this was started, I would have been 4 years younger than I am today! :lightbulb:

However, I did just turn 57 but that's ok, cus that means, I am just "that" much closer to retirement :goodvibes:

Unfortunately unless I win a lottery my retirement date will be when I'm eighty or something. Gotta work to pay for kitty food. :D I will have a crappy pension seeing as for years I was self employed (day care) so it won't be enough to let me retire and live in luxury.
As of now I am 54 years, 6 months, 1 day young. And some days I feel every single minute of it!!! But the mind is still young and (hopefully) kept active so I'm good. :thumbs up

Hey Brenda - I just found out that min pins have Italian Greyhound in their breeding (way back?). Does that mean that if I have IGs and you have min pins we may be related?:laughing::laughing:

I'm JUST 54 years young and soon to be 55. I also feel like 25 but OMG my body just can't keep up to the 25's anymore.

Since it doesn't update, I guess that means that even if the world thinks I've jumped an age group since this thread was started, here I shall remain forever young!
