Scrapbooking for your fur crew *pics*

So.. I started making an attempt to scrapbook some Cider pics.. Let me tell you the library books I got make it so complex. So I want mine to still fit in a binder so I have less space on a page to work with.. but this is what I made so far. A page with puppy pics (I don't have many without the ex)... and a hike page.
The puppy page needs words or something in the bottom corner still..

Cool.:) But I don't know how the library will feel getting their books back all cut up.

:D Kidding!

That is SO cute! I wanna try but I'm terrified of cutting up the nice scrapbooking paper:o

How about this quote for the puppy page: "Puppies are nature's remedy for feeling unloved..." ~ Richard Allan Palm

Nice job . . . . . I can't stress how important it is, as we march through life, to have pictures of loved ones, pets and even ourselves AND, most important still, to have them organized AND dated in some fashion.

Its pretty remarkable how easy it is to lose track of dates and years and end up looking at a picture wondering in what year it was taken. That's sad.

I'm all for scrapbooking . . . . although I use simple picture albums myself.

Cute Prin, haha.

I'm the same Lissa.. I have some 'nice' paper and I'm like omg I'm cutting it... All paro cause my stuff doesn't look like the scrap book people's stuff..
I like that quote :)

You know Rick.. It was when Cider was a puppy I realized I didn't take many pics.. And I went on a spree, I think I knew stuff with the ex would end and wanted to document what I could..

I wanted to be able to have Cider's vacc records and stuff all in one place, so mine is a binder with page protectors. Means that I have less 'room' per page than a hardcore scrapbooker..

Glad now I've been photo happy since I got my digicam, almost wish I'd taken more pics in the last 6 months than the hundreds I have, lol.

. . . . and take pictures of yourself along the way.

As one example, my wife has a nephew who spent six weeks surfing in Costa Rica and came back with about 200 pictures . . . . and didn't have a single one of himself at age 25 surfing in Costa Rica. Lots of scenic pictures of the beach and pretty much nothing else. What the heck is up with that?!!! And he does regret it now as he closes in on 33 years of age.

I bicycled down to Idaho, Montana and through BC about a quarter century ago and fortunately had at least a couple shots of myself at that time . . . . humourous and illuminating all at the same time when looking back. Hey look, I had a six pack!!! No one would believe me if I didn't have the evidence. :highfive:

And, of course the pets that have come and gone. We had two cats who were with us 15 years, another for nine and a Sheltie for 10 . . . their memorial page is here:

And, of course, we have photo albums chronicalling their lives.

Don't live in the past but don't forget the past either.

Those are great! Rick, I like the idea of having the dated pictures. Fortunately all our pics we take with a digi cam which has the date stamp. When I get them printed however, I need to make sure to mark them. I love the scrapbooks too.

Just a suggestion Mafiaprincess, rather than store the pix with The Ex away, why not have them scanned and have someone with Photoshop digitallly remove The Ex from the picture ? That way you can treasure ALL your photo's and finally get rid of the originals with The Ex because you no longer need them.

Lovely scrapbook by the way !
