dogs eating cat food: good or bad.

I was told that if a dog ate cat food that it would go blind? Is that true?

never heard anything about something being wrong with a dog eating, or should I say STEALING cat food every now and again...


Lol, at times, Chocolate attempted it on a regular basis.... he succeeded too!

It won't go blind, but though a little cat food is OK for dogs here & there, a steady diet is not. For one thing cat food is much higher in fat, something most dogs don't need an excess of!

I doubt there is an ingredient in cat food that causes blindness.:p

The worst reaction I've seen from my dog eating it is diarrhea and maybe bad breath!

Actually, those little cat treats are excellent training tools for dogs!

But seriously, a dog should not eat cat food all the time, as cat food is extremely high in protein - much too high for dogs.
