Way to lenient if you ask me. I mean imagine what he was actually intending to do.

NAPANEE A man convicted of trying to throw his dog into traffic on Highway 401 has been sentenced to 20 days in jail.

John Horsfield, 53, who lives near Madoc, pleaded guilty to a charge of cruelty to animals.

Horsfield was charged by provincial police in early October after a man was seen standing along the highway swinging a dog by its nose and tail.

The animal was not seriously injured.

OMG,lately there seem to be too much of this kind of horror, what's wrong with these people.
Until we have a new Bill protecting our animals this will continue to happen, too many people are heartless and evil.
It takes a very cowardly person to take his/her anger out on an innocent little animal.

Definitely too lenient. I'm sure glad the dog wasn't seriously injured although I imagine it was pretty traumatized.
