Kitty coats?

Remy loves going on little strolls with me . . . Now that the weather's getting cooler, I'm wondering if I should get him a kitty coat for when it starts snowing. Also, does anyone make kitty raincoats? Light rain doesn't bother him, but he doesn't like the big fat drops.

Little doggy coats wouldn't work? There is an enormous abundance of those on the market.:D

LM1313,my cats go outside with me even in the winter, mind you it's only my backyard and when they get cold they go back inside
I would not even attempt to put a coat on them, they would just sqirm out of it.:cat:
When it rains, they come out for 30seconds:D
But if you really like to get a coat for Remy,I would get a small dogcoat, like for a Chi.

I recall an ebayer in Australia had patterns for playsuits sort of like this for cats, she is still selling http://cgi.ebay.ca/DOG-GONE-GORGEOUS-pajamas-Patterns-CATS_W0QQitemZ220046048600QQihZ012QQcategoryZ3119Q QcmdZViewItem

The seller I get Winnies suits sells various sizes not sure how the sizing would work for a cat, you need a measurement of back length (neck to base of tail) and chest (around the chest just behind the front legs)

I buy doggie coats or some of the women at the hospital where I work make or knit sweaters for my girls. Recently, Dollarama of all places had sweaters for teddy bears that fit my babies! And oh they are so cute! The doggie sweaters at WalMart are too large for my babies but YY liked one of them.

There is also this:

Tee shirts work if you can find warm ones. Or baby sweaters.

Casey loves a blanket, esp fleece ones and Chelsea is a little more innovative, lol

The problem with the dog jackets for Minnow is that the leg holes are too big and to get the right size for her chest, the jacket is too small to cover her back end.

"Grandma" is making her a proper rain jacket - she has a homemade knit coat made of boa wool but its not great for windy or wet weather. So now a fleece lined waterproof jacket is in the making - I am not sure how its going to turn out yet but I'll let you know:D

Here's the most recent coat from Petsmart we I tried - you can see how wrongly it fits (I had to colour in her red eye - her eyes aren't that dark!) I am not sure if the smaller dogs aren't as long as a cat or if the coats are made for looks rather than use (because IMO this does nothing other than look cute of course!):

Here you can see the giant leg holes:
