I have two Poms. One is small and doesn't shed . The other is about 10 pounds and has long straight hair. She sheds constantly. Brushing her and/or bathing her doesn't help - in fact, it seems to be worse right after grooming. Is there anything that can be done, short of shaving her, to reduce the shedding?
Puzzled in Pensacola:confused:

How old are they?
NO don't shave her.
How is her diet?Did you change her food?
Is she healthy?
Have you talked to your vet about it?
Sorry for all the questions.

Shedding is normal and healthy in Pom's. It is when they don't shed out and the hair breaks off that you need to be concerned, sometimes the hair doesn't grow back ( like mine ). I would be more worried about the one not shedding.
