activities for a Red Heeler

November 2nd, 2006, 11:48 PM
We recently adopted a 1 year old Red Heeler from the local SPCA. There aren't any activities such as flyball or agility courses near our home (90 minute commute one way to nearest club). We take "Ozzie" for daily walks and our children play with him, fetch, etc. I am concerned that he may need more stimulation than this to keep him happy and healthy. So far we have had no problems with him but I have heard that issues may develop out of boredom or lack of work (as he is a working breed). Any suggestions?

Do you have any dog parks nearby? Or, somewhere that you can let him off leash to run safely?
