Spoiled doggies show off their new gear...

October 28th, 2006, 05:43 PM
Jemma and Boo got some presents from their dad today...

Jemma: Did you see? I got this from my daddy! He even put it on me! :cloud9:

Mommy, it doesn't fit me so good...

Wait a minute! I can stand outside in the rain staring at squirrels and not get wet? I LOVE IT!

October 28th, 2006, 05:44 PM
I don't like these muttluks.:( Show everybody how sad I am, mommy.

:( I don't like this at all.

(then again, I don't look happy in any of the pics today for some reason....  )

October 28th, 2006, 05:47 PM
Nope, not happy at all. They just want me to stop licking my feets, even though I'm not licking them anymore. :(

October 28th, 2006, 05:49 PM
ha ha! jemma couldn't look happier, what a sweet beautiful shot of a gorgeous girl! and boo is just a big sook isn't he? "ooh i'm so tortured, help help me somebody rescue me!". yeah, right big boy :D

are the muttlucks for promenades on the frozen lakes this winter?

October 28th, 2006, 05:51 PM
Jemma looks sooo happy in the second pic ! Poor Boo,tell him my boys have the same doggie boots and they did get used to them!

October 28th, 2006, 05:52 PM
what size is that coat.......beathoven need one

October 28th, 2006, 05:52 PM
awwwwwwwwww omg she's so happy! Boo with it on is all "ummm are you kidding me?? do you not see it's too SMALL??" haha so cute!

October 28th, 2006, 06:43 PM
Yeah, they'll hopefully keep his feets warm on the river this year. His rip-off muttluks were full of holes, and the salt and snow got in anyway. These muttluks have super long socks on them (jemma's don't have those) so it'll hopefully keep more snow out.

Wdawson, that's a large. Jemma's 60lbs but has a smallish frame. I think it would be ideal for a pitty. It's got the back leg straps too and a hole to poke the leash through the back of the neck. The hood is detachable too. Oh and there are two pockets for baggies. Two thumbs up! :thumbs up :thumbs up Oh and it was $36.

October 28th, 2006, 06:54 PM
cool.........beathoven is 60lbs or so.........thanks.....what brand and store ?

October 28th, 2006, 06:54 PM
Boo's sulking BIG TIME!! LOL :D

October 28th, 2006, 06:54 PM
It's outward hound, I got it here in Montreal... It was the last one though... I think Petsmart in Ontario has outward hound stuff though.

October 28th, 2006, 06:55 PM
Boo's sulking BIG TIME!! LOL :D

Yeah, he sulked forever. I had time to go get my camera again and take pics of him sulking. So funny. Big suck. :D

October 28th, 2006, 06:59 PM
Maybe if you stopped punching him, he'd be less sulky :D

October 28th, 2006, 07:03 PM
hee hee...

Maybe if I stop giving him his way when he's sulky, he'll stop too.:D
I think he's still sulky. He's lying on our bed begging for a hug.

October 28th, 2006, 07:25 PM
Prin, those pics are GREAT!! Tell Boo his Muttluks look very stylish! There's nothing to pout about!

October 28th, 2006, 08:27 PM
I love how excited Jemma looks!

Kita has those same mucklucks, she H8s them with a passion, has never gotten used to them at all!

October 28th, 2006, 08:30 PM
Jemma just looks pleased as punch! Boo, well, he needs more cookies to get over his sadness I think :p I'm looking up those jackets now to see if I can get 'em stateside - Simon HATES going out in the rain and Peach gets so weirdly wooly when she gets wet.

October 28th, 2006, 08:42 PM
It's a cool coat. It's a thin layer of water proofy stuff with mesh on the inside.
Looks well made.:)

Boo likes his other boots, but I think since he cut himself and I booted him, he's changing his mind.:D When winter comes and he's warm frolicking in the snow, he'll change his mind back.:fingerscr

Here in the states, Petsmart is definitely carrying the outward hound line. I saw it today. I had to pick up another collapsible bowl (I lost the other three I had :frustrated: ) and actually bought the outward hound bowl.

October 28th, 2006, 08:45 PM
I must make a visit in the morning so the bebbehs have new outerwear when they return from my folks place in PA :)

October 28th, 2006, 09:14 PM
Oh and it was $36.

That's an awesome price, Prin! When I went to my local PetValu, they were running at $50 each!!! Mind you, these were thicker than a raincoat...probably meant for winter. But still. YIKES!!! $$$

I think I may have to purchase Byron's on the net somewhere. :)

October 28th, 2006, 09:20 PM
Yeah, my *new* dog food store believes that selling things at the suggested retail price of the company instead of jacking it up will draw more customers and he'll make more profit just by selling a ton of stuff.

I like his philosophy.:D

(means I can get canned foods that are normally $3.29 for $2.29 :highfive: )

October 28th, 2006, 09:31 PM
I like his philosophy too!

I was freaked out at coat prices last year. Buster has very little fur (which is weird because it seems to be on ALL my furniture...and floor....and bathtub...) so he needs a coat. I finally decided to knit him one. It was fun to knit, but it's not as pretty as the store bought ones :o

October 28th, 2006, 09:36 PM
Yeah, Jemma is the last dog to need a coat. She's a bleddy husky in black.:D But what daddy wants for her, daddy gets for her.:D

I was debating who to support- Woofers or her, because they're both so great, and almost equally far, but this one is so much cheaper...:o And they'll order ANYTHING you want.

Meb, you should see their coat selection.:D

October 28th, 2006, 09:41 PM
That second shot is my FAVORITE of Jemma so far. What a cutie!

October 28th, 2006, 10:39 PM
I think since he cut himself and I booted him, he's changing his mind.:D

WAIT A SEC so you're not only punching him, but you're kicking him too?!?! :p

That caption suits Jemma's picture soooo much... such a happy girl. :D

Do they make visors for dogs? I don't mind the back getting wet, but Willow makes funny squinty faces when in the rain, I think it bothers her eyes.

October 28th, 2006, 10:41 PM
I don't know about visors but they make doggles...

October 28th, 2006, 10:48 PM
I don't know about visors but they make doggles...

I've seen dog visors--but I think they're mostly for 'cuteness' not function...

Cute pics, Prin! Jemma looks maniacally happy  --and Boo looks like he's just discovered he's not daddy's favorite...

October 28th, 2006, 10:59 PM
That's ok. He's mommy's favorite.:D

(Not really, I don't have a favorite, but I do show him more attention because Jemma gets more from her daddy... Not because he loves her more but Boo waits for you to go to him and my man's not a "come to you" kind of dog petter.)

October 28th, 2006, 11:05 PM
Prin, those pics are GREAT!! Tell Boo his Muttluks look very stylish! There's nothing to pout about!

i'm desperately looking for a picture of Paris's dog Tinkerbell wearing Muttluks so Boo can see they're "in".

omg, no! jiorji--you'll scare the poor boy!!!

October 28th, 2006, 11:10 PM
lol we saw the TINIEST muttluks ever there. Very cute. And then there were x-large- never saw a dog in my life with feet that big. :D

October 28th, 2006, 11:38 PM
I've never seen muttlucks... Do they have some sort of gripper on the bottoms? We've had just regular 'dog booties' but in snow or on ice they were so slippery that the dogs just freeze in place and are scared to move...

October 28th, 2006, 11:39 PM
They're sort of rubbery leather, I guess. No traction, but they get used to them.

October 29th, 2006, 12:26 AM
jemma's soooo happy.not i didn't do it look.Poor Boo.Doesn't look happy.Super pet carries the outward hound.that's where we got Jags backpack.Like the rain coats.
