My friends gordan setter is having seizures and when we brought him to the vet, the vet never said anything about it. he just gave some medizine for his leg (that was damaged during the seizure) and that was it. Anyone know what's going on with our dog?

There could be so many things causing the seizures, my only suggestion is going to another vet.
Depending on the frequency of the seizures it is an indication of problems!!!
However, I was told when my Rottie started having hers 3 years ago that 1 seizure a month is normal   I didnt believe it.
She had 3 in one day so was put on medication since it was cluster seizures.
Definately get a second opinion.

Yeah I would definetly look into getting a second opinion. It would be nice to know what caused the seizure, and whether it may happen again.

Seizures can be caused by lots of things so I would definitely find a vet who is willing to investigate. It could be something as simple as a food problem.

I agree with the others. Your friend needs to find a different vet that he/she can communicate with so the dog gets the help it deserves. Good luck. :fingerscr And, please post with updates. :dog:
