Cat hair loss problem please help!

i have a 3 year old female cat named Isis.A week or two ago i started to notice she was losing her hair on her right side in a palm sized patch.Then it began on her stomach and quickily spread to her mid section.

Its almost a perfect semectrical pattern of hair loss on her stomach and patches on her feet,plus the patch on her side.

There is no sign of outer parisites and it dont seem to bother her much except she is always bitting at her hind legs.It all happend in a two week span though which leaves me at a loss as to an explanation.And it keeps spreading up her stomach.

Please help.

One of my male cats,Chico,had what sounds like the same problem...a visit to the vet calmed my fears of anything serious.
His hairloss was because of excessive licking,although I never noticed,stress-related.The vet gave me a cream with antibiotic and antihistamine and his hair grew back,it still happens ever now and then and then the cream comes on again.Chico is a very highstrung cat.
Chico was mostly bald on his stommache but also small patches on his legs.
But before you do anything take Isis to the vet..
