My dog, a rough collie/german shepard cross, 13 yrs old and she's overwieght. Has developed bumps on the top of her nose/snout in the fur and a bit on the skin of the nose, and they "popped" causing a small amout of bleeding and open "ulcers". She isn't licking it, and it doesn't seem to be bothering her. She is acting the same, and hasn't changed her dispostion at all. I'm wondering what might this be, and what is the cause. Or is it something that comes with her old age? Thanks

This sounds like something I would want to have a vet see...
My alaskan sled dog had similar spots on his snout last spring...turned out to be a staph infection requiring antibiotics...I took Niko in as soon as I noticed them and it still took 3 weeks of antibiotics and a month for it to clear up....
It could be lots of things but a vet will know.....

Definitely head to the vet. The longer you wait, the worse it'll get. We just can't diagnose things like that over the internet.

I agree. Any sores like that need to be seen by a vet. Please make an appointment and post with an update. Good luck. :fingerscr
