Hi, I discovered this website when searching for answers for my 8 year old yellow Lab Annie. My Annie has had urinary tract infections and crystals in her urine a few times (both kinds of crystals). A recent lab test reported that my dog has some kidney damage. The vet has her on w/d science to keep her ph urine levels between 6.0-6.5, which has helped, but I do not like this food because my dog poops too much. What kind of food for seniors is the best, the discourages crystals and infections and is friendly to the kidneys? I am looking at Solid Gold Senior as well Senior Innova. I have found that foods that have many ingredients like Canidae caused crystals. Can anyone help me?
thank you!

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about Annie. We would love to see pics of her.

I have heard that as long as the protein is from a high quality source it is safe to feed and it's the phosphorus that is the problem. There is a very good dog food forum here which you should find helpful.
