He looks very intelligent, too! In that first picture:"Hey, Mom, while you were unpacking I pitched the tent!"

Did a good job, too by the looks of it :D

I think it's called a baby:D

It's a Tire Biter toy that floats, attached to a rope. Great for when we go to the lake.
Thanks everyone!!! He's 80 pounds now, I don't think he'll get any bigger though. We thought he was kinda small for a lab, the other ones we see around seems at least 90 to 100 pounds (the British ones anyways). He was the last one of the litter at the breeder, now we think he might have been the runt, and no one wanted him.....we fell in love with him the second we saw him, he came bounding over to give us kisses, he was 9 weeks old. We love him to bits!! :D

Welcome to this board (I too live on south shore) beautiful big boy you have!

Welcome to the forum. Very handsome boy you have there. :thumbs up

He looks more than 80 lb. in the pics. I have a 15 month old yellow lab that weighs 86 lb. and you can still faintly see his ribs. Hmmm....guess that means he'll hit 100 lbs.

90-100lbs is really heavy for a lab. I think you must be seeing only mutants.:D Usually they grow to be 55-75lbs...
(if you somehow manage to keep them thin...)

Bailey is beautiful!!!
I have a 5 year old lab and he is 90 pounds. The vet would prefer us to trim him down to 80-85, but with his eyes, etxra treats are a given :o (if not by us, by his "grand-parents").

I just want to say welcome and I look forward to more pics. Enjoy being a lab owner, it is very rewarding.

he looks like a gian love bug!

Thanks guys!!
I have the same problem with the "grandparents" too, they love to give treats, but it's my fault to, I go to the cupboard and he's there in a flash and sometimes I can't resist those eyes.
It's funny because I don't often take pics of people anymore, it's mostly of Bailey, the album is getting pretty full.

Prin, there are two types of labs. The English lab is the stockier of the two and weighs 60 to 85 lbs. and is the one primarily used as a show dog. The American lab has longer legs and weighs 70 to 120 lbs. and is also called a field lab.
