Goodbye Monty

It was with very sad hearts that my wife and I had to let our beloved Monty go this evening.

When the time is right, I will get into details on what happened, suffice to say that it was very quick and very unexpected. For now, I'll just say that he went peacefully, at home, on his spot on the couch with his Mom and Dad comforting him on his journey and his brother, Jack, and sister, Lucy being able to say hello and goodbye.

Monty was only with us for just over two years, but in those two years he gave us nothing but love and expected nothing in return (although he received plenty of love back). He sat at the Halifax SPCA for several weeks being passed over by people wanting young dogs. Little did those people know that they were missing out on a fantastic guy.

Monty adopted us and we are so happy he did. While we wish and always thought we'd have more time with him, we are thankful for the great couple of years.

We love you Mont, save us all a place on your couch.

Thanks all for your thoughts and kind words. Today has been a bit rough for us as we try to adjust to a house without Monty. My two other pups have been quite quiet today and content to cuddle up with us on the couch.

Monty, it was a year ago this evening (Fri, Oct 13) since we parted ways. Your mom and I still miss you greatly and think about you all the time. Love you Monty! :rip: :angel2:
