Last Chance to Swim

October 12th, 2006, 12:22 AM
Jemma, Boo and their Uncle Buddy enjoy the last swim of the season.

Jemma stays high above the water to see where the stick is..

Boo cheats by jumping through the water on his long legs

Little Bud holds up the rear...

And then changes his mind when they go out too far (he knows his limits).

But the gang quickly catches up...

But that's ok, he can still pretend to be a serious retriever...

Not as serious as Jemma though. :D

Sorry, they're a bit blue because the sun had already gone behind the mountain...hehe

awwww I love Buddy's determination to be like the big dogs :cloud9: he's so adorable

lol when he was here, my doggies got let out in the back, and like usual, they jumped off the balcony (hooligans never use the stairs :D), which is about 4 feet off the ground. Buddy was following, hesitated for a second and then went for it too. :D He's so funny. Brave little guy.

Great pictures! Poor Buddy needs a big body:D

Dodger swims like Jemma too - but I think its because he doesn't want his chin to get wet:o

Why doesn't Boo have his life jacket on? Its so sad that its the last swim - at least they had fun!!

 that's right!! great observation! Boo is jacket-less.
Prin probably forgot to bring it or BOo ditched it somewhere:o

I guess Boo wanted to go in stealth mode!!!:D

lol no, Boo wears it for the boats, and being late on Monday, there weren't any (everybody goes home before that), so Boo went skinny dipping.:D

Swimming is not an issue at our house. Even if they're soaking wet with rain, our dogs don't want to walk on wet pavement because "it'll make their feet wet!" Wish they would swim...instant bath with no hassle! :)

Prin, those are great pics, they are having sooo much fun, lucky pooches.
That water must be freezing though...burrrr
The JRT is adorable,my sons JRT will jump into my pool,a real little fire-cracker:dog:

Yeah, Jemma was frozen afterward (buddy too, even though he only went in once or twice). We put a vest on Jemma to keep her warm when she got out but she recovered quickly. Boo never gets cold really. His feet do, but not his body.

I see, poor Boo was NEKKID!!!:o

I have no idea how they can brave the "frigid" waters!
