The dog across the street was killed by lightening the other night. We just found out.We knew he was trying to find King a new home. And hadn't seen King in a couple of day's.Lightening hit the chain he was tied to and sent him over the fence killing him.The owner is devostated. And so are we.My son every morning would stop and give King a treat and a hug and kiss before school. He doen't know what happened yet.other than King is gone.:rip: We will miss you King.

Oh my Goodness, Poor, poor King, lightening is a scary thing. I am so sorry for everyone involved :rip: poor King, may you be able to eat all the ham sandwiches and treats you desire and deserve. There are awesome books at the library for children(not sure how old your son is) on pet passing, they helped my daughter understand alittle better(that's where the ham sandwiches came in:D , she just turned 4)
