Transmitting viruses to dogs – I worked in a pet store

I used to work in a pet store, we didn’t sell any dogs or cats but I was in contact with a lot of dogs that ware there with the owners buying food.

My problem is that although I left this job about 2 months ago, I washed the clothes that I used there and just recently put the shoes in the garbage, now with the new puppy coming home I am scared about diseases that I may give to the pup. I cleaned everything but I had some bad experiences with parvo and I was told that the virus can be viable in a home for 10 years … I don’t know if this is right but I am concerned.
Any advice?

My advice is to contact your area vet and get the lowdown on how to deal with the possiblity and what risks are involved.

She had the first vaccines done, the second round is at 10 weeks right? Or was that 12 … :frustrated:

When is the parvo vaccine administrated?
