Some pics I took this afternoon by the river...

Are you coming or what?

Is that a squirrel? Should I dash off never to be seen again?
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h213/Princi9009/Jemma%20and%20Boo%20Aug%20Sep%20Oct%202006/IMG_3337.jpg

Nahhh. I'll be good and get a cookie for it later.

Walking on water... sort of.

Jemma and Boo... umm... acting natural.

Hey! You guys are supposed to be pretending we're in the wild, untamed wilderness, not watching the cars go by!

Those are fantastic pics. Boo walking on water is a calendar shot!:thumbs up

Prin
September 30th, 2006, 02:18 PM
Thanks. (btw, it's jemma on the water... But that's ok, it took me at least two years to tell them apart consistently :D).

jiorji
September 30th, 2006, 02:21 PM
I thought it was Boo too :o
It works better when they're side by side, then i'm 100% sure!:thumbs up
Unless Boo's all the way in the back and he looks smaller than Jemma, then it's just defying the rules of perspective and i get confused

are there more pics?:D

I thought after I posted that it was Jemma, then went back and looked at the nose to be sure. Tricky big black dogs!

:o I have a couple more crappy ones... Like this..

or this:

It's hard taking pics with black doggies when the leaves are yellow and the sun is out.

There's no real way to tell them apart, except the eyes. Even the size can fool you once in a while, when there's only one in front of you. The rest is really subtle. They both have white chesty patches too.

I've decided that I'm going to move anywhere but here:thumbs up Everyone has such nice clean open spaces to take their pooches, cannot seem to find anything remotely as beautiful here:sad: Prin your pooches look like they had a really nice day out

Prin
September 30th, 2006, 02:36 PM
You just have to find the secret spots in your town. Nobody really knows about the river up here- even today, we were all alone for an hour and a half. But it's not always clean either...

there arent really any great areas to take the puppys for a stroll in stinky old london libby all the pretty areas are really high traffic or no pups allowed! however if you can sneak in behind east park they have some nice spots. I have found a little spot downtown though where my boys can have fenced in off leash time together :)

Prin
September 30th, 2006, 08:46 PM
Thanks. :) I'm glad we live here and have access to the river like this. It's really great for doggies (no wonder every house on the street has at least one ;)).

Those pictures are wonderful. I love all the fall colors.

Prin
September 30th, 2006, 08:58 PM
That's true, eh? You don't have fall colors much down there, do you?

Not all the trees are changing yet though.

Prin
September 30th, 2006, 10:03 PM
you shudda come up here! lol Jemma and Maika could have frolicked happily together while Boo grumbled at home alone. :D

You ask for black, I give you white...
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h213/Princi9009/Jemma%20and%20Boo%20Aug%20Sep%20Oct%202006/IMG_3303.jpg

My dad's doggy was visiting while my dad helped with the kitchen...

And Jemma, about to howl. She always looks happy when she's about to howl (in a crazy sort of way...).:cloud9:

I think we're getting your weather tomorrow.

Wow, check out the white fuzz on the Jem.

technodoll
September 30th, 2006, 10:14 PM
tomorrow is a day to stay at home and stay warm bundled up, eh? :yell: how's your dad's "jack muscle" doing, has the pus-booboo drained yet? poor boy... he's such a love :pawprint:

if they could only bottle jemma's expression and sell it! label would be "instant fix for a rainy day, aka happiness!" LOL :highfive:

Prin
September 30th, 2006, 10:17 PM
Definitely. Too bad I can't afford to rent a movie. :o (I've lost 6lbs on the poverty diet so far. :thumbs up sarcastically).

His pus is a bit better (pussing less), but they're still waiting for the vet. Nobody cares in this world. It's ridiculous.:frustrated:

Byrd
September 30th, 2006, 10:42 PM
Geez, I think we all make that face at one time or another.... 'cept this is not howling, it's barking/growling/whining.

More Jemma and Boo fall frolicking- at dusk. If there's one thing black doggies are good for, it's silouhettes:

I really like those sihouette pics. And the ones by the rocks and the river in the first batch. Despite the black, they're still very photogenic! Ooooh and the one where Jemma is going to howl, that's awesome!:p

great pics

is it just me or have the leaves started falling off a bit quicker this year?:(

Prin
October 4th, 2006, 08:22 PM
No, I don't think so. I think they're turning faster, and falling faster (in a shorter time), but I don't think it's earlier...

Remember when we were little(ish) and it snowed on hallowe'en?

I love the silouettes , my fav is the one where they are sitting. So peaceful, its a calander pic.
I think we should make a pets.ca calendar for fundraising for the rescues on here.
