jiorji September 30th, 2006, 11:00 PM yeah try it on Jemma that would be interesting to see her eye up close

Rick C October 1st, 2006, 10:29 AM Great photo's guys . . . .
I don't know if I could name a particular picture as the "best" or even a "favourite" . . . . . but long after Abby and Keeper are gone, I suppose I will try to remember certain circumstances and moment's and certain pictures will help me to do that . . . .
Keeper melds into the tall grass prairie as we walk around our property on a windy summer day . . .

Here are ONLY 2 of my faves. I will probably post more later  .
Here's Shelby at the lake, sneaking up on her prey via water. (the prey was in this case a very unsuspecting tennis ball, poor lil fella didn't have a chance)

Rick C October 2nd, 2006, 10:44 AM Geez Rick, could I maybe move there ? I mean, I'd be just fine in the garden shed you know... :p
Sadly, I tore down the garden shed to make way for a new garden next Spring . . . . . so you'd just have to sit out on the cold, cold, barren prairie!!!
I'll remember the scene below for a long time, ridge walking with Keeper in the Whaleback area of southwestern Alberta . . . . as you went east and into the distance from this scene you would have to hit the Alps in France before you found a higher spot.
http://www.goldentales.ca/16670105-edit1.jpg
This isn't a beautiful picture by any means, but this is a scene I'll always remember, Abby standing for hours looking intently over my shoulder, studying the traffic. The ultimate back seat driver.

Byrd October 5th, 2006, 06:18 PM Prin, we didn't use the flash when we took the pic of Willow's eye. Just a regular digital camera held about a foot away from her eye.... it worked fine.
Prin October 6th, 2006, 01:16 AM Yeah, but Willow's a bit lighter than Jemma... The black really affects the light meter on the camera.
Byrd October 6th, 2006, 07:05 PM Try facing her toward a window, that's what we did, then the pupil will contract too and you'll get more of the iris.
Byrd October 14th, 2006, 09:13 PM I just found out my camera has a B&W and a sepia mode, so I took these tonight.
Love the expression in the B&W.
Byrd October 14th, 2006, 09:17 PM I also took this oh so cute one, "Please let me in the room Mommy"
hazelrunpack October 14th, 2006, 10:07 PM Absolutely gorgeous pictures everyone! Takes a long time to load over my modem but well worth the wait!
Here's one of our original trio--the youngest was about 16 weeks, the oldest about 1... I'm still not sure how we managed to get a pic of them all 'stacked' like that and holding still :D
rainbow October 14th, 2006, 10:09 PM Byrd, your dog is just soooo photogenic. :thumbs up

Byrd October 14th, 2006, 10:14 PM Thanks, and I don't even bribe (nope, no cookies were harmed in the production of those photos).
Anyone know of a modelling agency in the area?
rainbow October 14th, 2006, 10:16 PM Hazelrunpack, your dogs are all absolutely gorgeous. There is no way I could pick a favourite....I love all the colours. :thumbs up

hazelrunpack October 15th, 2006, 09:02 AM Prin--I can't believe your dogs don't touch except accidentally!! What's with that? Labs are so friendly! Unless they just get too hot! Ours are always touching each other--except for Sheriff Cole, cuz he gets too hot...
Inverness October 15th, 2006, 09:05 AM Absolutely gorgeous pictures everyone! Takes a long time to load over my modem but well worth the wait!
Here's one of our original trio--the youngest was about 16 weeks, the oldest about 1... I'm still not sure how we managed to get a pic of them all 'stacked' like that and holding still :D
Well excuse while I faint ! :yell: :cloud9:
hazelrunpack October 15th, 2006, 09:13 AM Well excuse while I faint !
I never did manage it after we got the other three. At the time they were all between the ages of 1 1/2 and 3 and all in constant motion... sigh... :)
Frenchy October 15th, 2006, 09:26 AM Hazelrunpack, pleeeease post more more! They are gorgeous :dog:
hazelrunpack October 15th, 2006, 11:41 AM Hmmm....more....have to go for group shots when possible...but I'm having trouble finding any that are small enough...

hazelrunpack October 15th, 2006, 08:10 PM Actually, Rainbow, you don't know the half of it. The dogs have their own website and even their own online newsletter. Most everything is from the dogs' point of view (I'm their ghostwriter ;) ). The pics will change and so will the newsletter (both sites just came 'up' this month)--the dogs are working on Issue 14 of the newsletter and it will likely be posted sometime in the next week or 10 days. If you want to look at them, check out
The link to the newsletter is at the bottom of the Hazel Run Pack's Home Page (the first page you see). You can read up on Lil Belle's test drive. :)
If you're looking at it over a phone modem, though, I gotta warn you that the pics take a while to load.
PS It may seem like it after you've looked at the site, but I'm really not that
hazelrunpack October 15th, 2006, 08:18 PM ooops...I blew the link, let me try again!

Did that work?
hazelrunpack October 15th, 2006, 08:19 PM Gorgeous dogs, Technodoll! (Look at those faces--they look like bears!) Very huggable. Are they soft as they look?
Rick C October 16th, 2006, 11:01 AM Oh noble Keeper, big prairie wind in Spring pushing her ears back as she stands on guard out in the field . . . . not the best photo, but emblematic of this particular dog.

Prin October 17th, 2006, 09:40 PM I think the rule is if you repost the same pic twice in one thread, you have to post two new pics to make up for it.;)
Mahealani770 October 18th, 2006, 09:46 AM Here's my little man with his stuffed bear, "bunnie".
Mahealani770 October 18th, 2006, 09:48 AM I don't know how difficult it may be to see this, but Nicky has one eye opened while sleeping with "bunnie"...lol

Okay, I'll abide by the rule.... If I must. :p
The first one is after a really hard night of obedience class. The second is how we like to eat chewies at Nana's house.

I am a new member and this was our puppy Rowdie when he was 8 weeks old when we brought him home. He is now 20months and there are recent pics of him in the pics section as well. I just wanted to add this picture because I think it is so cute....lol
hazelrunpack October 19th, 2006, 04:52 PM How could you name such a sweet little thing Rowdie! :D Looks so innocent--not one ounce of mischief in him (I'm sure) I'll bet it was hard to not laugh when he did something bad...
Cute baby pic, AnimalLover 05! :thumbs up
AnimalLover05 October 19th, 2006, 06:19 PM Heehee thanks for the comment. Yeah hes a complete angel:evil: haha...never does anything wrong. He earned his name. He is the most active dog that I have ever had. The first time I took him to the vet down here in AZ the first thing they said was I can see how he got his name. But I wouldn't change him for anything. I love him with my whole heart....I love all my animals with my whole heart they are my children. LOL.....well wait maybe children would be easier haha....but thank you for the comment.

rainbow October 19th, 2006, 06:41 PM Rowdie is adorable but I think he looks a little mischieveous in that pic.

I've never seen them before--what a wonderful pose! They look so content in each other's company. :cloud9:
hazelrunpack October 19th, 2006, 09:39 PM I was going through picture files this afternoon and came across this one of Cole chasing Cass over the deep snow in 2004. I'd forgotten about it but I've always liked it's wintry flavor... (Not sure how dark it will be once it uploads though...)

Well, hee hee, not always, that is where the picture of the "teethies" comes in. Hunter tolerates Cassie so well, and she is such a boss  , you would think that she is the big dog.

hazelrunpack October 21st, 2006, 12:11 AM Nah, any good action needs some noise. :D
Actually, I'm usually grateful for the noise...tells me when there's trouble; tells me when they're playing; tells me when there's someone at the door; tells em we're being overrun by dangerous butterflies and villainous varmints:D . I don't care for it when I'm typing quietly at the computer and the dog sitting next to me suddenly goes off, though.

greaterdane October 21st, 2006, 10:54 AM Great pics. I love the one of Vixen on Atticus's back. And, love the ears on Osiris...what breeds does he have in him beside husky?
Well, when we got Osiris, we were told he was a am staff...HAHAHA
We think he is husky/german shepher/staffie mix. He has the staff body, but the ears of a shepherd, the eyes of a husky..the undercoat of a shepherd. Osiris is a true Heinz 57. We usually just tell people he is a Wild lowlands sheperd, or a Dingo :)
rainbow October 21st, 2006, 02:03 PM He is very cute and I love his colour. Did he ever grow into his ears? :D
Byrd October 21st, 2006, 07:56 PM Perfect name for Osiris, he looks Egyptian.
Prin October 21st, 2006, 09:16 PM Love the Pizza Hut one! That one should go into the back of heads thread too...:D (wherever that one went...)
ShaggyRudy October 21st, 2006, 09:57 PM I look at these two pics when I'm having a bad day...

ShaggyRudy October 21st, 2006, 10:16 PM Ok, I just scrolled through this whole thread...I just have to say, some of the pictures actually brought tears to my eyes.
They're amazing. Especially the ones with the unbelievable scenery! You just wonder what our little furies are thinking when you look at some of these...
trippincherri October 21st, 2006, 10:33 PM Well since these don't necessarily have to be of pets...I have a few more.
The first I've posted before, it's of a lake we frequent at sunset. The colors are amazing:
19004
The second is of a barn that sits on my parents property. Its very old and near collapse but my parents love it and so until it falls it remains the first thing you see when you wind your way down their driveway. I took the pic in Sepia mode on my camera.

trippincherri October 21st, 2006, 10:39 PM Now I am much more comfortable taking pics of nature and pets then people. And I often find things beautiful for my own reasons, I know a lot of people asked me why I took this next picture....but I love it. I want to blow it up and frame it. Poplar trees prior to budding this spring, underneath a warm Easter day sun:

And this little spruce tree, literally clinging to it's last roots before it slips into the river:

jiorji October 21st, 2006, 11:01 PM I think Osiris might've been crossed with a rabbit, judging by his ears hehe
and Vixen is just too cute with her boots :cloud9:
greaterdane October 21st, 2006, 11:07 PM He is very cute and I love his colour. Did he ever grow into his ears? :D
Well he is turning 5 in March and his ears still look huge :) They at least both stand though.

Joey.E.CockersMommy October 26th, 2006, 11:13 AM You guys these pics are awesome - I think I am admitting I am not much of a photographer -

Joey.E.CockersMommy October 26th, 2006, 11:19 AM Here he is checking out the new yard - he is on a leash cause we dont have a fence at the moment - and I am to paranoid to let him off :)
Prin October 26th, 2006, 12:00 PM Yey Joey! He doesn't need a pro-photographer to come out cuddly and handsome.:)
hazelrunpack October 27th, 2006, 12:50 AM Hmmm...I just realized I've taken so many pics over the past few years that I'm beginning to repeat myself... I sense recurring themes and keep getting that feeling of deja vu... For example:
Prin October 27th, 2006, 01:41 AM tee hee hee... At least you have variety... When you have two black dogs, all the pics are of two black dogs.:D
Byrd October 29th, 2006, 07:22 PM I didn't take this pic, a friend of mine did, but it's still of my dog and it's still a cool shot.
hazelrunpack October 29th, 2006, 07:56 PM Byrd--that would make a great painting!:thumbs up
