Testing out my new Nikon D80 in the last week . . . .

Last evening we were out at the Bluerock area, west of Turner Valley which is southwest of Calgary . . . . the road to this place will be closing for the winter in a few days . . . . but the golden Fall colours were nice for sure. Keeper checks it out:

Two-footed Polly in our yard, checking out the sky ala Garfield:

Last weekend, Abby pauses on the way up Mt. Indefatigable, overlooking Upper Kananaskis Lake, the snows of the coming winter already closing in on this higher altitude place . . . .

Beautiful Photography as always Rick C!

The shot of the cat is superb!

I'm curious about the D-80 Rick C so I'm going to start a new thread in the gear forum.

Thanks!

I love your photographs. The leaves changing makes me so homesick. Leaves never change here.:( I think I need to take a trip home to PA soon.

Love the yellowish hue in Pollys pic and the one with Abbey under the"brolly",is that because of your new camera or sundown:confused:

Polly is under natural light at sunset. . . . . .

The camera allowed me to change Abby to "sepia" colouring.

You would go west from Black Diamond on Highway 7 to Turner Valley, keep going out the west side of Turner and that would eventually take you to Bluerock . . . . end of the road!!!

I think the road closes Oct. 1, two days from now . . . . either that or Oct. 15. But you can still get a good ways in there even after it closes.

We walk back there in the winter as well.

Its quite a sight right now. Nice drive.

An update of sorts . . . . . beautiful day here yesterday (crappy today) with Polly out playing in the falling leaves . . . .

Polly and Carol . . . .

. . . . . and Polly settles in . . .

Yes, we do have three other cats, Skyler, Daisy and Maude but they aren't allowed outside, hence only the occasional other pictures. Polly can't run away and is allowed out under constant supervision.

I just love Polly, animals are amazing, the way they adjust to what is supposed to be a handicap.
I am glad she is with people who care,as you and your wife do:love:

One more . . . . . Abby has just caught a whiff of something and moments later she and Keeper were jumping all over some driftwood on the shore of Upper Kananaskis Lake, looking for a squirrel within. I love grey days like this . . . but the bears are out more than ever in this place right now.
