I haven't been able to find any information about this on the 'net, but, my two cockatiels who are male and female, Dude and Hissy respectively, have been doing what I think is having sex.
Dude is quite the singer/whistler, and Hissy just takes it. They run around on the bottom of the cage and eventually Hissy stops moving around and Dude mounts her. Dude is very aggressive towards us nowadays, but Hissy is still extremely nice. Does this have anything to do with the egg laying process?
