yes...there's lots of pictures:evil:
these are pictures from my vacation to St. Maarten in the caribbeans. Bunch of rasta furries  I was not able to take pictures of ALL the cats that resided at the resort. Too many, too skinny, too sad
This cat was a furball. Tiny feets and a body of fluff. Her domain was the buffet area, which she shared with grey/white tabby.

This doggie lives here on St. Barth's:
He was one of the greeters at this marina restaurant. We sat and had lunch and thisbistro place and he went around to everybody for petting. He came and shoved his bum between me and my dad's chair to get petted by both of us at the same time. No need to waste pettings!

kittens!!they must've been a few weeks old.

Awww kind of bittersweet I'd say.
Sad to see them sort of homeless and not very well cared for,but at the same time nice to see someone did leave bowls of food out for them.
Even if it does look like they get cornflakes for meals lol.
The dog made me sad, he looked so old and tired, but still looks like he has quite a bit of fat on him so thats good.
Its no different where you go in the world there is always going to be pet over population,it's terrible.

I was thinking the same about the dog.But maybe he has a better life than we think...the kittens are too cute!

well I think that dog got regular food from the restaurant and I've seen the maintenance people leave water and cat food for the cats at the resort, but it was obvious they don't get fed regularly. The dog seemed a weird cross. The front part was rather strong while the back was skinnier, so he might look that skinny due to that crossing of breeds. He seemed a bit over his prime too, but he was in better condition than the other dogs i've seen.
I was talking to one of the waitresses about the cats and i said that it sad that they're so skinny. She looked at me and said "they're SKINNY???!!"
so I don't know...maybe they're like that to beat the heat down there.
the cereal was left for the kittens by these other tourist girls. I told them they should put water on the cereal to moisten it up as it's too crunchy for kittens that age. The girl said that there's plenty of water in the other bowl if they need it. Yes...the kitten will know to soften up the cereal in the water bowl *rolls eyes*. But at least they were caring enough to consider leaving food. I left sausages for their mother, who wasn't there. Probably out looking for food.

Jiorji, would you believe that we do not go to the Carribean anymore, because I spend my time feeding animals:eek:
Mind you it happens when we go to South Carolina too, there is cats everywhere and I always feed them..
There was a Dog I named Suzy in Cuba,I was going to take her home, she followed me everywhere.
However as skinny as she was,she had a litter of puppies under the bar and there was no way I could take her away.
I was totally heratbroken when I had to go home, asked everybody who were staying to feed her. Here is a pic of her, while she was pregnant:sad:

Here I am feeding some of the very skinny cats,it was a good diet for me...

Aww, those pics were so sad to see. I suppose none of them get spayed/neutered either.

The girl said that there's plenty of water in the other bowl if they need it. Yes...the kitten will know to soften up the cereal in the water bowl *rolls eyes*."I offered the kitty some milk with her cereal but she didn't answer".
Cute animals... Sad stories though.
Where are the happier scenery pics?

Hubby says to me,I have to stop looking for trouble, trouble follows me around in the form of furry 4-legged thingys:frustrated:
The problem is,we look at these cats/dogs as we would our own pampered pets and it's very sad.
However, these sad little creatures, know of no other life, their lifespan very short, scrounging for leftovers from tourists,is like a hunt..seldom do you see a fat cat/dog.

well i didn't mean to sadden everybody. Yes it is sad but it's my way of acknowledging them and their life by showing pictures. The animals just like the humans who live on the islands have different standards of life than here in North America or Europe. it's just as hard to understand as listening to a caribbean shop owner say that they MIGHT open the shop tomorrow or they might not...even though the schedule says the shop should be open.:frustrated: "i should be in around 2pm, but then i may not show up ...it depends..."
Where are the happier scenery pics?
